Colleen Cotton, M.D., researches different skin diseases in dermatology. Her particular interests include hidradenitis suppurativa, infantile hemangiomas, and vascular anomalies. Other skin diseases that are the subject of her research include atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, alopecia areata, ichthyosis, epidermolysis bullosa, and more. Dr. Cotton is an active member of the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA), a collaborative network of clinician researchers across North America working together to improve pediatric dermatology research for their patients. Dr. Cotton also has experience as a sub-investigator and principal investigator for industry-sponsored clinical trials prior to her time at Children's National Hospital, and hopes to participate in more of these trials in the future.
