  • Tammy M. Brady, MD, PhD, has focused her career on improving the care of children at increased cardiovascular disease risk through research and clinical innovation. In addition to her federally funded work aimed at cardiovascular health promotion in youth, she has participated in multiple local and national quality improvement initiatives geared toward improving elevated blood pressure recognition, hypertension diagnosis and hypertension management in youth.

    Dr. Brady also has expertise in blood pressure measurement and blood pressure device validation. She served as co-chair of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Sphygmomanometer committee for 10 years and currently serves as co-chair of the American Medical Association’s Validated Device Listing Committee.
