Investigational Drug Service

The Investigational Drug Services (IDS) pharmacy at Children’s National Hospital plays an integral role in supporting clinical research conducted by the Children’s National Research Institute, a key mission of the hospital. IDS provides comprehensive investigational pharmacy services, including support for the development of clinical trials and investigational product (IP) management, accountability and regulatory compliance.  The staff provides a comprehensive scope of services including sterile and non-sterile compounding. IDS is available for consultations to investigators throughout all phases of the clinical trial process.
